HonoursHonours applications due 31st October 2007 Honours is a specialised year of study which qualifies students for Masters or PhD and/or allows them to specialise in an area of study to expand their employment opportunities and professional advancement. Students accepted into the program undertake fourth year level subjects and a short research thesis and must achieve honours-level grades (minimum 65%-H3) for each component of assessment in order to qualify for the award. The Faculty of Arts Honours pages outline degree requirements, eligibility, course structure, application procedures, and other important information. Honours students should check the Fees and Scholarship information in this Undergraduate section for possible financial support for their studies. Honours students must submit a 12,000 word honours thesis in partial fulfilment of their honours year. Guidelines on the preparation and submission of the shorter research thesis are outlined in the Minor Thesis Guide. Honours students should also check information on the preparation and submission of essays for their fourth year subjects. |
